During lockdown, I haven't been able to indulge my clay obsession as much as I'd like, so I decided to reach out to potters I don't know, broadening my horizons and learning about new people.

 

Given all that's happening in the world relating to the horrendous treatment of black people, particularly highlighted by tragedies such as the killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor and Ahmaud Arbery, as well as so many others, it makes sense for me to particularly highlight non-white potters and those from other minority groups.

UPDATE DECEMBER 2020

Well, life got in the way. Lockdown got harder for us with a bigger impact on day-to-day life, I had a problem with my voice, and most importantly, I worried that it would look like I was trying to exploit this cause for my own gain. The upshot is that the idea is on hold until I (hopefully) feel comfortable to get started again.
